Visit Zombieland

We finally released our FBX importer code for JavaFX 8 on Github:

https://github.com/tesis-dynaware/fbx-importer

You can use it to load (binary) FBX files and show the result as a JavaFX 3D mesh. Have fun playing around and please don’t hesitate to give us feedback.

    • It’s been a while since I dealt with this library, but I don#t think animations are suppported.

Btw, this blog is no longer maintained. You can visit my new blog at https://uwesander.de (it features copies of all posts from this blog).

      • Ah, sorry, I had a hard time finding ways to contact you and I saw that this blog is 2 years old. I assume there are no plans on supporting animations in the future then? Do you know of a way for JavaFX to support 3D models with animations? I only saw support for 3D models without animations, and creating animated models in JavaFX is very hard because there is no studio for this and you need to write everything in code.

  1. I’m sorry I won’t be able to help you. As far as I know there are no plans for extending this library. And I do not know of any other way for JavaFX to support animated 3D models.
